| Yes | h) Do you support the prohibition of public funds for organizations that perform abortions? | ||
| Pro-choice does not mean pro-abortion. While I am personally against abortion, I am pro-choice because I realize things will inevitably get worse when a woman does not have access to a safe, legal procedure. Furthermore, statistics show that in countries where abortion is illegal, there is no change in the abortion rate - they just occur illegally. What has been shown to lower the abortion rate are programs which help prevent unwanted pregnancies in the first place. | |||

| I do not believe in reducing government regulations in the private sector because in many cases, the regulations help maintain OSHA and environmental standards. And while I most definitely do not advocate drug abuse, I believe there better ways to curb drug use than by cutting someone's benefits - many times there are children involved, and they should not be punished for their parents poor decisions. In short, there are more efficient ways to tackle the issue, which is why I marked "no" for item f. | |||

| I support a national common core in regards to the fact that each school in America should be emphasizing the same material to help set students up for future success. However, I would like to see less micro-managing from the federal level, and more involvement at the local level. Allow teachers to teach to their strong-suits, or in initiative becomes counter-productive. | |||
